Gingerlily Lowe earned her B.A. in psychology with a minor in drama from UCSD.  She holds a K-12 multiple subject teaching credential and a Masters in Teaching and Learning (Curriculum Design) from UCSD’s distinguished Teacher Education Program (TEP).  Gingerlily recently worked with the National Marine Mammal Foundation and the Ruben H. Fleet Science Center in developing their STEM project and working with scientist  to translate their research to the classroom.  She has been involved in the California Science Implementation Network, UCSD Science Teacher Institute, and holds certification from the National Science Teacher’s Association.  She worked on the National Education Association (NEA) Charter School Initiative for the San Diego Educational Association (SDEA)’s charter project.  She has served on various community boards such as the San Diego Chinese Center, and Teatro Máscara Mágica.  Ms. Lowe was a founding member and served as president of Pacific Asian Actors’ Ensemble (PAAE), the first theater company specializing in theater opportunities for Asian and Pacific Island performers in San Diego.   Gingerlily and her husband produce the Asian Story Theater/Chinese Story Theater in which she also serves as the educational director, using live theater as a medium for education as well as truly exciting entertainment and bringing multi-cultural theater experiences to thousands of young audience members every year.  During 2015 she worked on the production, “Stories from the Sun Café”, a  theater project about San Diego’s Asian community and history from the early 1900s to today.  She was also seen performing in Paul Rodriguez’s, “The Pitch,” at the Lyceum Theater and at the Old Town Fiesta Del Reyes Stage in Gold, Frankincense, Myrrh with Teatro MascaraMágica.
