Biz Town
Our students have now made their pledges as citizens of Biztown.  They are learning about how an economy works and how to contribute as a citizen in the economic circular flow of a community.

At home you should have seen an introduction letter, and the Citizen Guide that your student will be using over the next few weeks.   I hope you had a chance to browse through the booklet to see what your child will be learning about.  You can engage your child in some discussion at home and talk about how your family also engages in the economic flow of our local and greater community.  Generally, I will ask the students to keep their books at school unless they have some work to finish at home.

You can click here to see a video about Biztown.  I also encourage you to consider volunteering on our Biztown fieldtrip on April 14th.  Only volunteers who have completed a school volunteer application and TB test will be able to participate.

Both fourth and fifth graders are working on fractions.  Fourth graders will be taking the unit test next week.  Please make sure that your child studies and prepares for their test this weekend.  After, they will start the next unit on Fractions and Decimals.
